The CPWSA AR15 barrel. Custom built to our specifications for use on the competitive and tactical carbines that we offer. .875" before the gas block and .725 after. It is black phosphate finished, fluted, 16" long, with mid-length gas, 1 in 9 twist, with M4 ramps. We like the 16" barrel because it's short enough with a comp attached, to be quick and maneuverable in house clearing stages or close, tight quarters and shooting positions, yet long enough to give the velocity needed to flash steel targets at long range. Fluting both before and after the gas block facilitates cooling and reduces weight; the mid-length gas system softens the recoil impulse over the standard carbine length gas system; and the chamber and 1 in 9 twist rate allows shooters to use standard XM193 or other readily available 55 gr. ball ammunition. We shot a few groups at 100 yards with XM193 and PMC Bronze 55 gr. ammo and got great results even though the barrel had less than 50 rounds through it. We expect even better accuracy as the barrel breaks in. We also got a couple of 1.25" groups with 75 gr. Hornady TAP ammo. Here's a couple 3 shot groups with 55 gr. ammo we fired at 100 yards, and is representative of the performance you can expect:
DPMS AR15 Complete Bolt Carrier Group Assembly - this is the complete assembled bolt carrier group, firing pin, bolt, etc. Simply drop this into your upper and your ready to go. Factory phosphate finish. Price is $159.95.
DPMS Carbine Buttstock Mounting Kit - everything you need to put a collapsible stock on your carbine, or complete or modify your existing lower. Kit comes with six position buffer tube, buffer plate, castle nut, carbine buffer, and recoil spring. Your choice of commercial (1.17") or milspec (1.14") size buffer tube. This components are available separately below if you don't need the whole kit.
Separate Buttstock Components - here's the adjustable carbine stock parts available separately if you don't need the whole kit.
AR15 Gas Tube - standard replacement gas tubes. Available for carbine, mid-length, and rifle length systems.
AR15 Steel Charging Handle - operate your standard charging handle and at the rearward stoppage point, slightly twist the handle. It flexes way too much for my taste, and I've seen those handles twist, bend, and break beyond repair; usually at the worst possible time. Upgrade to this steel handle for increased reliability and life.
AR15 Lower Parts Kit - this is the DPMS brand lower parts kit, minus the grip and fire control parts. I keep one of these in my bag for emergencies as it contains a lot of the small parts subject to break or get lost. All mil-spec parts, new and unused, in original packaging. Also the kit to use to build out that new lower if you're going to use a MagPul grip, and a McCormick or Timney drop-in trigger. Price is $36.99.
AR15 Low Profile Steel Gas Block - whether you're upgrading to a low profile handguard like a VTAC Extreme Battlerail, or just like the sleek, low profile design, this gas block is a great addition to your rifle. While aluminum gas blocks work well, I'll take a steel one any day given the option. Fits .750" barrels and attaches securely with three set screws. Dimensions are: 140 billet steel, manganese Parkerized finish, matte black. .750" – 1¾" (4.4cm) long, 13⁄8" (3.4cm) high. 3.6 oz. (102g) weight.
